track gearing

Hello all,

So I was wondering what gearing would you use on a medium size track, not alot of room to open any real top end and a fair amounr of jumps. Clay track outdoors, and I'm running a Mamba max 5700 on PSC 6 cell sport pack. Any help would be appreciated! I am currently geared at 18/86

Sorry if this isnt the right place for this just move it if need be.

i tried looking at your other post, but you dont ever mention what truck you are running.

I cant really help if I dont know what ratios are in the rest of the vehicle, or what size your wheels are.

but, I always use brainG's website for topspeed and gearing estimation;

18/86 Isn't bad for a 5700. If you need more bottom-end use a smaller pinion or a 90T spur. If you find yourself needing more top-end speed go with a 83T spur or a larger pinion.

Running a rustler.

I'd say stick with 18/86 and adjust according to what you need.
