MMM v3 hiccup?

Im having an odd problem with my v3 mmm, It seems to hiccup or lose signal about 75 feet from me. it doesnt entirely lose the signal- its like a blip where the throttle goes to neutral. anyone have this problem, and how do you fix it?
Setup is:
Cen Matrix truggy
V3 MMM
CC 2200
5s zippy lipo
geared for 42mph

Does it do this in any direction relative to where you stand? It's probably radio related. Where is your Rx located relative to the ESC/motor/BEC(?)? It should be as far away as possible from those things to prevent glitching.

I had this happen with my Mamba Max- only mine went into full brake for a fraction of a second, but it happened at full throttle-- was kinda ugly.

Im running spektrum dsm through my m8, it happens any direction- the rx is in the front of the truck, batt, motor and esc are wayy back
i dont know if it would catch interference from that:neutral:

I had this happen when i was running 75mhz, it would do that....

In that case, I doubt it is interference if you're using DSM.

Arct1k 12.05.2008 05:50 PM

Does it happen a certain point on your street - 2.4 is not immune to interference - it could be a neighbours network router or telephone

brushlessboy16 12.05.2008 06:10 PM

Its not its kind of random, happens sumtimes and then doesnt the next

Would a faulty switch do this?

DSM can lose signal. I have a DX3r and it loses signal right in front of one of my neighbors house sometime. I also had a problem in a particular parking lot. It is getting interference from somewhere...

I have noticed this with my E-revo, not sure what the cause is. it pretty much does what you have just said....ill be going and the truck will just loose the signal for a second or less and then it will just work again. I didnt notice it happening at any particular distance but 75 feet or so seemed to be when it happened the most.

also had this problem with my 1oth scale mm and i am also running spectrum
its a glitch from the radio
always seems to happen in the same spot try moving your electronics around in different comboes if u can. thats what worked for me

I was running a receiver pack (with regulator) and decided to try the MMM BEC. When I did, I started having the exact same problem. I went back to the Rx pack and all is good.

I had issues with my spektrum like this, It would lose signal at about 75ft. I switched to the futaba fasst 2.4 3pm and now have no issues even at 1000ft away! I will never go back to spectrum!

e-mike 12.05.2008 10:36 PM

my firend to had this issue with spektrum...he switch to fasst and everything run good now:yes:

E-fanatic 12.05.2008 10:38 PM

Yeah after buying 4 spectrum systems and only having one that would give me 400ft(max) without issues and my neighbor, brother and brotherinlaw all have spectrum radios and have horrible range issues! I was told that the dsm2 systems have fixed the issue but my wallet hurts to bad to try again!
