Charging in series?

Hey guys, I have a hyperion 1210i and I wanted to know if I could charge my 2 3s 2800 packs in series instead of individually? (As in hook them up in series and set my charger to 6s 2800mah)
Would it work or would something go horrifically wrong?

will you be balancing as you charge?

if not it should be fine-
if you do you would need a 6s to 3sx3s adapter

No I am not balance charging. I balance after I charge.

Why? By the end of the charge, one cell could already be above 4.2v and damage is already done. Best to balance while charging IMO...

I don't have a hyperion data port.

You can use a LBA10 balancer, y connectors for the battery plugs as you mentioned in the original post, and a y connector for the balance taps as well. Brian's site shows how to wire the balance taps into a Y connector.

i allways stop half to 3/4 the way threw the charge, balance them then finnish charging. And most of the time the balancer only blinks about twice and the packs balanced. My trackpowers seem to stay balanced really well! and that's a good thing becouse the link button on my trackpower balencer doesn't work anymore (idk why)

I have the 5i (little brother of the 1210i) and I bought 2 LBA10s and the little kit to charge in series. Basically you just hook the positive of one balancer into the charger, then the negative from the other balancer, then connect the remaining plugs on the balancers with the cable from the kit (2 4mm female bullets and some wire) and then there is a networking cable that goes between the two balancers (not sure if this is needed or not, but I like to know what voltage each cell is at). With my 5i it takes a while to charge 4s and 5s because of the low wattage, but it's better than charging one-at-a-time IMO.
