Anyone out there familiar with this transmitter battery?

Here is their claim:

This pack also features a built-in voltage cut-off, so even if a radio is left turned on for weeks, the battery will be safe from over-discharge. The TX-2800 provides further protection with an automatic charging cutoff that prevents any of the cells in the pack from being overcharged.
I'm wondering what device is bundled with that battery that manages the voltage? If it's durable enough it may be worth putting on some of the receiver packs I use in some nitro vehicles.
