what you think about offest rims?

Hello,

I have 2 brushless e-maxx one with standred offest and the other with 1/2 offest rims.

I feel the 1/2 offest rims are hard in the landing from jump so I thinks thats very hard on the arms and the axle carriers. but very stable on turns and corners.

What you think guys?

I ask that because I want buy maxmizer beadlock but I don't know what to get standred offest or 1/2 offest

the Tires will be masher:)

Technically those half inch offset wheels are zero offset and the standard maxx/revo wheels are negative offset, the narrow the vehicle. Ofna makes some positve offset wheel which significantly widen the car and do put stress on the axles. The "half inch offset" are fine and you shouldn't have to worry about it. Just look at all the 1/8 scale truggies, they all use either "half inch offset" wheels or extended hex hubs. Here's a pic of the standard wheels

and here's one with half inch off set

And here's a little blurb from Pro-Line about why they are called standard and half inch offsets (we can all thank Traxxas for this logic):
Terminology

· STANDARD OFFSET
Refers to standard MAXX® offset wheels ( stock wheels )

· 1/2" OFFSET
1/2" offset will increase track width by 1/2" per side over the stock wheel.

if you're getting maximizers get the 17mm's they are 3/4 offset(x-75) and won't hurt your axles or arms, possibly bearings, but they're cheap! there are several 14 to 17mm conversions

I use OFNA Full Offset wheels and Crimefighters on my E-Maxx and I like them. I like the look of the Maximizers even though they are a little heavier.
