Thinking about getting a Kyosho DBX buggy - Your thoughts?
I am thinking about getting either the Kyosho DBX buggy or DST truggy 1/10th 4wd. Have you had any experiece with either of these? What's the word on the street/track?
I'm pretty found of my STRR and thought I would give one of these of shot to see how they perform. Comments? Thanks. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/18396 |

They suck.
They are very fragile, and drives like hell. I'd rather choose a 1/8th scale machine... |
i have seen afew at the track, they look fun,one had no problems keeping up with the other buggys, i havent seen anyone brake one at the track, but they are kind of limited for hopups and upgrades that i have seen.

Thanks for the input guys. I order the DST last week should be here this week. From what I've been reading they are basicly the same. Tower or body mount along with the body are different.
The hop up are limited. Kyosho put out a few, but on the positive it might save me money. Parts are not every where. Amain has some. They sometimes just list the DXB and not he DST. I order spare arms from Kyosho which order them from Ultimate. The arms on them are all interchangable. Front back left right. They were only 15 cent or so more from Kyosho then the other places I found them. I will post up what else I find out about this little guy in the mini truggy section. |
heres something on rcuniverse.
thought you might wanna see how it looks like. Whats the advantage of this over 1/12th truggies? same ground glearance....maybe its more stable cause its got a longer chassis. but then you can say...what the advantage of this over 1/8 buggy? lol this is like 30mm shorter than a buggy and much less durable http://pimpmyrc-car.com/news/thum_11.jpg |

advantage is the wrong word, the 12th scale cars are cheeper, lighter, and can be driven much easyer on tight tracks. all diffrent scales have advantages and if you put enuff power through a 1/8 scale it will brake easly too |
