TwinForce + BL = FUN

Bough the kit about a year ago, maybe more, and I have yet to drive it. Been killing me seeing it just sitting all the time. I Could have dropped my Super Rooster in there with some brushed motors, but why, I wanted speed, and lots of it!

Had the BL bug for awhile now, went through a few setups in my E-Maxx (Hacker 8S, Lehner 1920?, Hacker C50)

Ended up selling my E, I just didn't like having something that everyone else did, so I ordered some goodies for my Twin Force.

So with that said, I ordered up a BK Warrior 9920 and 7XL, along with some other goodies.

Ran it for the first time tonite with 14 GP3300s, was pleasantly pleased with it. Mind you, I didnt even make it through the first set of packs yet, and I already broke acouple things, lol. Good Thinking on Kyosho's part to make the stub axles hollow...

Just excited about finally driving a BL RC after so long, thought I would post about it

BTW, here's what it looks like :

I also wanted to thank all the helpful people on this site, even though I don't post much, I read of lot of the BL posts, and a lot of them have helped me :D

Heh, I've got a 10L and Mtroniks Truck ready to be dropped in my Twin Force, just haven't had the time to get around to it. I like the body you got, don't see too many SUV's on the Force trucks, I got a Suburban, but the sides get a bit distended by the battery trays on the side. Still, I like the looks of them........might have to do the Escalade thing too when this body dies. :D

Oh yeah, put Savage axles on it to replace the busted Kyosho ones, they're a drop in mod, and I've heard they're stronger. Mine came with them, so hopefully they'll hold up.....don't know about the already slipping front diff though.

yea I bought the Savage stub axles when I bought the truck, I just gotta find them and drop them in

And about the difs, yes, stock the aluminum R&Ps don't last too long.

When I built mine I put 4 spider gears in the difs, as well as steel ring and pinion both front and rear.

Can somebody please post a link or part number for those Savage axles??

Thank you very much for the link.

Your TF looks nice, I'm also in the market for a new body for my Twin.
I had a 9L and 14 cells on mine, but will put a left-over 7XL on next summer.

Gotta love the TF, a true stunt truck.

My first brushless truck was a Twin. I ended up taking the best of it (the tranny)and incorporating it in my savage. My twin is now on it's way to being a crawler. I lost count of how many driveshafts it either chewed in half or bent. The suspension design is just not suited to 10L brushless power. It has mega axle wrap which chews the dogbones in two at the edge of the diff drive cups and is very easy to bend front dogbones if it noses in on jumps from my experience. Mine spent more time on the bench waiting for parts than running. I also had to spend nearly $100 on better steel diff gears since I chewed through several sets of the stock potmetal ones.

I broke that very same part b4, I did not know the savage axle fit, good to know

Yeah, I'm running the Savage ones, they've held up great to the few bashing sessions my Twin has seen. :D

Oh yeah, got my BL system all mounted, but didn't have any daylight left to do any testing.......still gotta set up the controller too.
