Looking for a radio actuated switch thing...

Here is what I am looking for. Something that I can plug directly into the receiver and use it to switch my led lighting on and off via the 3rd channel. It would be nice if it has a pos and neg output, with either switched, but preferably the pos wire.

Anything like this exist? Does not have to be able to hand a ton of power, I am only using 6 leds total.

That'll be $10 please.... :mdr:

Something like this: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXCJD6&P=0

Kinda large, but maybe could be taken apart and repackaged...

That's nice. Too bad it uses a mechanical relay rather than a solid-state solution...

Must you crap on everything I do?...

It's what I do! I did say it was nice, didn't I? It sure is a heck of a lot smaller than the one I posted. For low current loads like LEDs, I'm sure a relay will be fine. There. Happy now!

Thats more like it.... :mdr:

I wonder if you could add extra LEDs in parallel- given the low currents, I think its do-able...

A bit big, but I do like the solid state electrics...

Nice, but I think we have a winner below...

Not quite, but you put me in the correct place, check this out: http://www.robotmarketplace.com/products/0-DGSW5.html

Perfect to do what I need, plus I can use it for 2 different light setups, like general running lights, and a set of top lights for the roll bar. I can setup the 3rd channel of my m11 to do a 3 position setup, or just use the knob on the m8 to do it. So i can run the running lights by themselves or all at once. Quite gangster... Much better than what I came up with:

Yeah, I will do... I really like the dual switch I linked to. I just need to find 5 white leds that have the correct resistors for use with 5v... Any ideas where to get those pre-assembled? I would rather not have to solder all of that up, and I have no idea what resistors to use...

Hahaha, brilliant. I had thought about a microswitch and servo combo, but thats a nifty unit you built there; zipties- man's new best friend

Linc, check your local auto parts store's 'tuner bling"section. I found 4 packs prewired for about 9 bucks at my Advance Auto. Pep boys and Auto Zone also have decent selections. They're gonna be mixed in with the lamest accessories ever conceived by mankind, so look carefully.....

My buddy just put eight whites on the front of his 3905 and you can't even look at it, they are incredibly bright!

Forgot to add, they're 12 volt but will work with anything over 3 or 4.5 volts, whichever the led requires for minimum voltage.

PS, you may feel like a tool standing and staring at niteglow neon skull shifter knobs and the likes, but it's worth it lol.

Sweet, that sounds like a good idea. I have accounts with a few so they may be "free"... Make the business pay for them, just have to convince the accountant (wife) that they were for a customer...

I will feel like a tool, mainly cause I know that I will end up standing next to some wigger who has no idea what he is doing but thinks that rope lighting his dash is cool... God I hate those kids, pull your pants up, dawg...
