Couple of questions on the 8ight T

Well I just could not pass on the 300 dollar 8ight Ts on Ebay that have been up as late. So I pulled the trigger and ordered one. I have the MMM and plan on going 4s Lipo (especially since I have a couple of 4s packs already). I have read other threads that discuss the Neu 1515 1y for the Losi Truggy, but not clear on if that it is best to run 4s or do I need something higher?
The other question I have is regarding the wheels, I just bash so I would like to use 40 series tires and Axial over sized beadlocks. Will that stress the truck out to much, I have seen lots of the Gorilla Maxx crowd running them so I think it would be fine. I would like to hear anyone that has experience with 40 series on a truggy platform.
Thanks everyone and Merry Christmas!

the wheels will be fine, i wouldnt go with a higher kv motor that the 1515 1y, it should be ok on 4cell but its really a 5cell motor

Personally, I would go with the 1y on 4s.

1Y on 4s in the 8T is perfect, but I like more, I run it on 5s as I just bash.. 40s on the 8t may be a bit much. Some lightweight regular max size wheels is plenty. 40s would work if fine thats your ambition but then its kind of monster truck muggy~ish, the drive train wont break, but it may make it stress the motor etc. and be a bit heavy for jumping..+1 on that combo, but I'm bound to say that as it's exactly what I run in my 8T.:mdr:

The Axial beadlock wheels will hit your front A arm when steering. I've tried, found the problem, sold the beadlocks brand new, and switched to normal glue-on type oversize wheels.

That motor would be better suited for a buggy rather than a truggy due to its smaller size.

with mecanical brakes a 1512 would be fine, if you are going to use motor brakes you would be better off with a 1515 2.5d or a 1515 1y

I drove a MMM 2200kv combo last night at the track with my 4s2p6000mah and it was a great combo, plenty fast @ 1/2 throttle the front tires started ballooning. Idk the gearing but the motor never got over 110 ; D

Thats because the CC 2200KV motor is a 1515 size... which is for truggy sized vehicles. The 1512 which was mentioned above is more suited for buggies.
