anyone know where i can buy Lehner motors?

Specifically, i'm looking for the basic XL series as i want to get another XL4200. i got the one i have now on ebay.

I found Fine Design, but are they reliable and fast on shipping?

any help is greatly appreciated.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.

FD is generally looked down upon on this forum for some reason. IDK, I've bought motors from there many times, two of them Lehners (XL2800 and XL5000), and they arrived quickly. I think the disdain come from "service after the sale". Either way they are the only place I know of in the US who sells Lehner.

Best thing to do is to call Chris at FD and see if he has the motor in stock. His website is not correct about the stock he has. If he has the motor he will most likely be your best bet. I bought some battery trays a while back and it took a month to get them, others have had similar issues. Still other poeple have had decent service from him, so it may be a bit "pot luck"...

Any reason you have a preference for lehner? Medusa make a nice motor and the 60mm v2 will most likely outperform the basic xl and be cheaper. Medusa have great service, and Mike sells them here in the rcm store.

Here in Germany, there are many shops who sell Lehner motors. If you (or anyone else here) find one that sells them at a good price but doesn't ship them to the US, pm me and i can buy it for you and ship it to you then.

i was thinking the 60mm might have too much torque for my application.

i'm putting it in a rustler as a replacement for the lehner XL4200 on 3S. maybe the 4800 v2 50mm? i have that very highly recommended but wanted some other opinions.

i have a neu 1515 1Y in my other rustler on 6S and an 8XL on 6S and the torque is too much for both applications geared 54/25.

i have the punch control at 100% and the slipper as loose as i can get it without it falling apart, and it's grabbing like it's locked. those motors are monsters.

the lehner is perfect for driving outside for speed runs on 3S so i was looking to get another. Maybe i'll try the Medusa.
