mmm v3 shutting down and turning back on.

Today about 10 min. in to running the truck died. When I was walking to it the arming tones want off and it was fine, then a few min. later it cut out and rearmed befor it even stopped rolling. The switch is mounted solid and everything was cool. Any clue what it could be. It ran fine untill a curb jumped out and popped my pivot balls out of the knuckles. That was 10 min. later. the switch works fine unless there is a problem with it cutting out. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen.

could it be your wire, the bullet plug (cold welding)

There have been some issues with some switches. I cut mine out and soldered the wires together after the switch turned off twice and cost me any chance at a decent finish at the bash. Check all connections for solid solder joints. Also I believe it was Brushlessboy16 that just had this problem and it was actually a tab broken off one of his lipos! I hope that's not the case if you where using the lipo you bought from me!

I already cut and soldered my switch wires but experience 2 shutoffs yesterday. The first one had the negative power wire coming off after landing from the table top. Two laps later, it stop again but everything was intact. I disconnected and reconnected the batteries and all was well. I ran it for another pack. It's weird.

Great. My MMM vs has bullets on the power leads. I wish they would just let me solder the wires direct.

In the meantime, try spreading the male bullet connector a little more to provide a more solid contact. Or, just solder the bullets together. Or, solder base wires to the female bullet sockets directly.

I will check everything above. Thanks guys!!! No e-revonut. Saving that for the crt when it gets nice out.:mdr: I run the Emaxx on 4s with my medusa 36-60-2000 geared for 40.Super little motor. Never gets hot. Well not yet anyway.

Yup, I miss my V1 with the leads soldered to the board. I spread out the male end so we'll see how it does. If it does it agagin, I'll solder the connectors together. I'm still surprised why it shut off after the second jump. There must be something in there that got jarred loose. Oh well, if it dies, I'll send it back to CC again for the newer soldered-on to the board power leads :lol:.
