6s set-up ?s
 

i have been thinking of going to 6s , i am thinking of this for a buggy, looking for a cool setup that i can gear up if needed , please let me know what you think


1512 2y f -1400kv and 6s in a rc8 geared for like 38 mph

should be eff. , but can i use these batterys.........

The Protek batteries seem decent enough. I have been looking at them myself. The 2200's with the 30C rating would be my choice for your setup. They are lighter, can produce the same power as the other 2500 packs (~1300W cont.), and can charge at 2C. The only issue might be runtime.

i plan on running this at the track , so 10-12 min. or runtime is what i am looking for , i think i may go with the 2y and the rcm battery , now i just have to get the approval from the wife:lol:

ok so here is my next ?

on 6s which motor should i get , the 2y or the 3.5d

they both will work but i think the 2y will be the most eff. , does anyone have any thoughts on these 2 motors

i run my rc8 on 6s with a 1512 3d geared between 15-17/46. it works pretty good for me. need some new batts though gonna go with the neu 25c 3200's good price and they are about the right weight.

i run the 1512 3d on 5s i would assume id be just as great on 6s as it is on 5s, and im running 5s 4000 protek 20c packs with my motor and i can easily make a 15 minute main, it usually shuts off right at 19-20 minutes, and this motor is ALOT nicer to these poor litte proteks than my 1515 2.5d was lipos are consistantly 15-20 degrees cooler, i wouldnt go less than 1500kv on 6s you still want to be in the 31k-35k rpm range so you have the most options for gearing.

how does this look? 6s 1512 2y 1350kv and 20/46 .... gearing ok?

Consider the Tekno Neu 1509/2.5y/F

First of all they cost less, they don't have the big holes the standard black canned neu's have, and Tekno had them upgraded over the standard Neu's.

I currently have a Black finned 1512/2y/f and its great. I run it on 6S in a Kyosho MP777. I control the RPM's just by changing the mod 1 pinions depending on what the track layout is.

Like the other guy said, as long as you calculate your RPM's betweek 30-40k you will get what you are looking for.
