Aha! Look what I just found!

I was digging through a bunch of crap to find something that would work as a battery tray and I found some old knex models I used to build all the time. I was probably around 12 when I was making these things.

The car has a v... no W16 engine. When you push it the "pistons" go up and down. It's one big hunk of plastic and I remember pushing it down the stairs then fixing it when it broke...

The other one's a tank...

So when are you making it brushless? :D

I remember building stuff with knex, made my own crane and lifted stuff up to the second floor, like batman action figurines. So much fun.

Nice!!!! I remember those! I always had to cut the pieces to build things because they didn't fit the way I wanted. I progressed from Erector sets, to K'nex, to Lego Mindstorms (very cool), then R/C.
I still dig out the Legos once in a while...

Legos were great. I honestly think legos are to blame for the selection of hobbies that I have had since. Always working on something, trying to fix it or make it better...

First it's Legos, then it's on to other more dangerous things!

Military moves ruin my Lego collection. Of all the stuff my son and I built, this is the only one left intact.

I loved my lego when I was young, then went to technic lego- gave up on it because the little plastic gears kept braking all the time. I do still have one custom made model left as a keep sake though...

Looks like a slash lol..

Skipped.

I kind of skipped right over the whole plastic era. When we were kids the Erector sets were the phase. Lots of metal and good old fasion motors and gears to get it moving, and nuts and bolts galor. Probably why I became a mechanic and thrived in the engineering field. I tried the Lego fad, but just could not get enough out of it to keep me satisfied. Then when they came out with all of the premade kits I thought how in the hell is anyone suposed to find their creative side if everything is already done for you??? No tools, and it just snaps together. What fun is that?:diablo: I looked at it as just another invention to make us lazy and forge up more incompitence. I guess I am just one of the old school guys:yes:. All of the plastic stuff just breaks too easy for me.
