Team Infinity
Just curious if anybody has heard of Team Infinity? I was looking to buy some of their tires for bashing up and down the street.

i had experience with some of their other products( motors) so ill assume the tyres are fine too
just ask if they are belted or re inforced tyres |
Thanks...
How about it? Has ANYBODY else bought anything from these people? Maybe it is just me but $15 for a full set of four buggy tires seems too good to be true  |
I have a set of the Badlands knock-offs they sell for buggies. I have yet to run them, but they look really good for the price. Shipping was fast too.

Yep, it was a good looking glue job. Better than most of mine look too.

Okay...so I ordered a set of these tires from Team Infinity off of Ebay. It was a heck of a deal...a full set of glued slicks shipped for about $22. When I got them I was pretty happy with the quality and the clean glue job. The rubber seemed to be pretty good quality for the money too. So I took and mounted them on a BL Ofna Ultra/Dirt Oval that I have been building. I also installed a MMM ESC, a Neu 1515 1.5D motor (2700kv), and 5S flightpower battery, with a 15T pinion and a 51T spur for gearing. I ripped up and down the street a couple of times and then I decided to see what the car was capable of doing. This was the result of what happened when I went full throttle:gasp: Ya shoulda seen it...foam and rubber blew EVERYWHERE:

I have a similar setup in my DM-1 Spec except I run Ofna factory tires and I have not had this happen. Do you think I just got a bad tire or do you think my set up was a bit ambitious for glued tires? Does anybody know of a company that makes 17mm hex hub beadlocks for buggies? * * * * * * * |
BTW...here is the new Ultra...thanks Skellyo!

Awwww, I thought those looked like the perfect tire the first time I saw them...
|
Yeah...I epoxy my foams to the rims...and it seems to help hold things together under BL loads. Ofna must do something similar because their pre-glued tires also hold up well. If you actually look at the tire, both beads held tight...the tire blew from the center where the majority of ballooning occurs.
Although...in defense of the Team Infinity tires...it was cold here today and there wasn't much grip so the tires were breaking loose like crazy and ballooning more than on a nice hot day with hot asphalt. I am sure the centrifugal force was immense. Where can I get buggy beadlocks:whip: |
The tires obviously weren't belted. Go for a set of the Ofna belted slicks. Yeah you have to glue them...but they won't explode!
