How does this affect the warranty since it has to be opened to replace either the fan or the case?

I have v1 can I use this case?

Are you still offering the cases as a swap out for existing working MMMs?

Also, what would I have to do to return a v1 and a v2 for v3 upgrade? Both work but the bec on the v1 seems weak...

All versions can use this case. If you want a case/fan for your v1/v2 you'd have to send it in or buy the case/fan combo. We will no longer be sending out cases or fans by themselves. To return a product go here.

I second the question about warranty

The new case/fan combos come with instructions on how to keep your warranty and replace the fan/case without damaging the controller. We will not cover any damage done by the user when opening the case so be very careful...it's your money you're playing with.

I received my replacement case today, and opening it seemed pretty straightforward. A little bit of common sense and patience is all that's required. Thanks for sending the free case all the way out to Sri Lanka, Joe. I've noticed there's about a 10mm increase in height. I guess I can rest easy now :D
