http://www.hpiracing.com/kitinfo/10791/
and its electric and only $170
no?

Yeah, I saw that in a Tower flyer about a month ago. Seems ok for the price I guess, but the driveline doesn't look strong enough (plastic drivecups???).

It's not bad for the price but it's supper econo. non adjustable gear mesh? fixed camber links? come on. and to think the traxxas electrics use to come like that. now there all pimped out right from factory.

it along with the new thundertiger 1/10th scale buggy both have metal gear sealed diffs front and rear.....we just gotta get those to fit a b44 or d4 and then youd have a low maintence 1/10th scale........i hate ball diffs.

that pup will snap like a twig, nice if you're 7

t-maxxracer32 01.09.2009 04:57 PM

i just got the email about it.

looks like a total peice to me. does not look like hpi. more of a Chinese off brand buggy.

pedeboi364 01.09.2009 06:33 PM

...ewwwww, HPI (allthough i respect the N savys and mt series)

BL_RV0 01.10.2009 12:06 AM

Looks like a redcat, or some POS they sell at nitrorcx.com

If you want a better made alternative, look at the tamiya durga or rising storm. Tamiya make the best 10th scale bashing vehicle. I have at least 12 tamiyas and they can all take a beating.

I'm not in love with the plastic drive cups... By that, I mean; I hate them with a passion. :grrrrrr: I don't think you could run anything lower than a 17 turn motor without snapping them off. Way to go HPI! Aside from that crippling blow to reliability, it looks alright.

Saw that pop up in my inbox, thought it was another cheap buggy. Did not expect the HPI branding on it.
