CC SHV ESC's. "When are they due out?"

Was wondering when these were suppose to be released? Said on the case of the larger SHV esc that they were due out in Nov 2007 which was a lie.

Here are a few pics I took at I-hobby...

I've been wondering about those too. I believe we will be seeing this ESC under the Project X category. LOL

Ummm..........the sticker you're looking at states the date of Manufacture for THAT particuliar unit.

If you check out Castles special projects page, it points toward the fourth quarter of 2008.

does SHV stand for Surface High Voltage? this is what i am looking for. would the phoenix HV 110 work for a 1/5 conversion?

BL_RV0 01.24.2009 01:41 PM

But they're still not released and it's late January in 2009.

bensf 01.24.2009 01:59 PM

Super high voltage maybe?

BL_RV0 01.24.2009 02:00 PM

Yeah, we know.

Metallover 01.24.2009 03:12 PM

I almost wonder if they will just be special-orderable...

Hardstyle 01.24.2009 05:09 PM

Pssssst. Why not ask in the Castle's own section? Im sure Patrick would give us a hint..

Takedown 01.24.2009 07:12 PM

Stands for super high voltage. And my bad on the date thing. I feel like a moran that I didnt think of that.

The ESC looks a lot like a power amp for a car stereo that I used to have back in the 90s

lutach 01.24.2009 10:16 PM

Place an order with Castle and sign the waiver. The SHV have been available for a little while now, but it was being made for BVM Jets.

Hardstyle 01.25.2009 11:02 AM

So they're airplane escs.. Just wondering what kind of voltage they can take?

Takedown 01.25.2009 05:29 PM

90v's.

johnrobholmes 01.25.2009 05:33 PM

They are whatever ESCs. Controllable with radio or 0-5v source. Programmable neutral point. Most are getting put into EVs I bet.

That's the first thing I thought of when I saw that 200A version. A couple of those on a couple large outrunners should be able to power a small 1k lb car I would think.
