If cash is short, why not try making your own?
|
I have thought of that but I want a professional look. someone here has to have one around who knows
|
Well, with a little work, it can look good. Here's how I made mine:
http://scriptasylum.com/forumpics/crtp5_test1.jpg http://scriptasylum.com/forumpics/crtp5_test2jpg Just some 6061-T6 angle stock, a hacksaw, dremel, drill, files, and some time are all that's needed. Other than that, you might have a long wait until someone posts one. Maybe contact Mike to see if he has any "blems" he would sell at a lower price? |
Hey that dosent look half bad, would you happen to have a piece left of that aluminum you be willing to donate?
|
Actually, since then, I did more work to it so it's lighter. But I don't have any clear pictures of it like the other ones.
I might have enough stock left. I just made another mount for my 4-tec, so not sure if I have enough now. I'll have to check when I get home. FYI: This is the stuff I use: http://www.onlinemetals.com/merchant...=62&top_cat=60 Less than $5 (+ shipping) isn't bad... |
Ohh I thought it was much more expensive. If you have an extra piece i would appreciate greatly, but if not its ok. You have been a really big help Brian thanks for everything.
