Help!!!!!!!

Plugged my Neu motor into my MMM and pulled the trigger and the motor just kind of stuttered. I thought that I might have blown that Neu up or that something was wrong with it. So I plugged another Neu motor in and the same thing happened. What could be the probelm? The motor is not mounted. It is sitting loose so no bidding issues.

Check your motor wire connections. That sounds like only two phases are firing...

Check the wires going into the esc or motor?

Just check ALL of the connections. Did you program the MMM yet? Make sure it's not in "brushed" mode. :oh: :oh:

Programmed the MMM for brushless, low timing, 50% brake, custom 12.4 lipo cut-off, 0% drag, adn so on. Checked all connections. Mike soldered all the MMM wires for me. Tried it again and the motor just stutters and churps. JR Pro radio and 310 receiver. I have never had this happen before in 7 + builds.

Should I try another MMM I have several for my other builds?

I'd say it's a "dying" MMM then. You could try reinstalling the firmware.

Yeah. Good idea. I'm pretty sure that's the problem since you already tried another motor...

Check that two phases are not shorting across the heatsink...

Now, I'm really confused. I've tried a new out of the box esc, new firmware and all the correct settings, and got the same thing. Tried a new receiver and the same thing happened the only constant is the wires running from the esc to the motor. Nothing is touching as all solder joint have heatshrink over them and the connectors. Could the wire be bad? Where do I go next?

You're cursed.....

I still need help!!!!!!!!!

Common on people; help me out. Has any one heard of having bad bullet connectors? Or could the noodle wire be bad? It looks fine. I'm at a lose for what to do next.

Arct1k 01.26.2009 09:03 AM

I would resolder the bullets - Do they fit snuggly in the sockets?

Failing that if it doesn't work with 2 motors I think you might have to send the MMM back.

AP Alex 01.26.2009 09:41 AM

I tried another brand new version 3 MMM and had the same problem. Unless someone comes up with something different to try. I will resolder the wires leading form the esc to the motor. That the only thing that has stayed constant. I have changed all the other variables. Receiver, ESC, motor. That is all that is left.

Sounds like you've found the issue...
