This is what I was working on.

This is what I was working on when I had the cold solder problem. Let me know what you think. :intello: This is my second Losi 8ight build.

Very very nice.

hoovhartid 01.30.2009 12:04 AM

nice man!
paint is sick! you do it yourself?
what rims are those?

AP Alex 01.30.2009 09:03 AM

The rims are IMEX buggy rims, and I bought the body off ebay. You don't want to see my paint work. It looks like a 3 year olds art work.

Metallover 01.30.2009 09:33 AM

What voltage are you running?

AP Alex 01.30.2009 10:42 AM

I'm running 1512 2d/f on Polyquest 4S 6000mah geared 15/46. So far no heat issues and this thing is a bullet. It was cutting down weeds all over the yard.

Car looks Awesome!. What shock boots are those? The stock Losi shock boots don't last long. I'd like to try those.

AP Alex 01.30.2009 05:10 PM

Those are shock socks by Bad Horsie on ebay. The stock boots are underneath.

Looking Sweet :mdr:

suicideneil 01.30.2009 09:30 PM

Very nice indeed. Might have to try the shock socks myself- anything to hide those awful purple springs... :mdr:

Unsullied_Spy 01.30.2009 11:30 PM

Nice body!

And the buggy is nice too

Interesting that you only put the shock socks over the springs. I like to have mine cover the entire shock, getting dirt into the threads on the shock body is a PITA when you have to adjust the preload.

AP Alex 01.31.2009 06:31 PM

I use a toothbrush to clean the shock threads. Works great!!!!!

I had to do that to my Muggy when the threads got fouled up. Then I got some Shockwears covers for it.
