Is it a color camera? B&W? It says "full TV resolution" and it takes 5MP photos, but that doesn't mean COLOR.

Cool

That is pretty cool if you want to video and watch it afterwards. There is also live feed video cameras that you can use tha twill send live footage to its receiver while you drive. I forget what it was called, but you can vertually drive your R/C aroudn the block while you sit on your couch driving it with a view from your 60" platpanel LCD. Its all good.

I'm thinking of buying it to take some over-due video of my RC's.... I have a tripod to use with it also.

Look at this one.

I have actually seen that camera in action as well as the videos it takes. I work at a bike shop and we got one in as a retirement present for one of the other employees. The quality isn't bad, and the fact that i can get one at cost makes it even better!!!

I once hooked up a 2.4ghz wireless camera to a rc18t and drove it next door to the lhs while watching it on the tv in the lhs. It was difficult to drive, but it was fun!

You mean the TRX one, right? Is it a color camera?????? That's pretty much my only concern!!!

From what I see, it's the same as a GoPro camera. Here's the same thing with a much better price:

I bought a FlyCam about a month ago, the vid quality is better than I expected- I see it's now $30 less than what I paid grr..

The ability to flip the cam in any orientation is a HUGE plus.
On the downside the controls are a bit weird, but once you get used to it it is very easy.

This is the cheapest, most versatile way to do video, hands down.

Highly recommend it.

If you haven't seen, here's a vid I did, cam was used in <10 degree weather with a 90 mph windchill, or about -22 F, just about the worst possible conditions- http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18123

Thats decently clear but leave it to traxxas to jack up the price bigtime...

skellyo 01.30.2009 05:11 PM

I just ordered the GoPro camera from amazon. $184.61 and I should have it tomorrow. :intello:

Nice! Skellyo you owe us some good vids now!

Actually, I was doing my daily craigslist search for RC stuff, and this ad showed up today. Looks like it integrates a heads up display via glasses. Price tag is a whopper, but extremely cool if it actually works.

I sent this guy an email asking if I could see it in person since his ebay location is just 40 miles south of me.
