Sorry to hijack but anyone know when more 80mm motors will be shipping. I'm getting impatient. They must have a Massive back log.

Jabe 02.03.2009 11:05 AM

I asked them about 80mm's, while asking other things too... And answer was "We have had only a few 3680's so far but more are on there way shortly."

I called last friday about the 36-80-1600 that I pre-ordered in october and was told that they are expecting a shipment soon (of both 70 and 80 mm motors) and I should expect an e-mail by the end of this week telling me that my motor is on the way. I don't expect that, but I think that they finnally have things moving along.

Any news on your motors? I'm glad I pre-ordered in August, I got mine just a few days after the first people did :yipi: It's already managed to kill a diff in a Muggy though :surprised: so it's sitting unused right now. You won't be disappointed in your 80mm, the power is just brutal. My Muggy isn't exactly light (somewhere around 14 pounds RTR, I need to find a scale and get an exact figure) and has the stock 420 series wheels/tires on it and that motor has absolutely no problem getting it up and moving.

My 70mm has no use on it, waiting for the parking lots to dry up so I can rip them up :diablo:

I just got email, stating that my 80mm medusa is on its way.

I got the e-mail last night that my 80mm 1600kv is on the way. It's going to start life in the Muggy with an MMM and 5S or 6S Lipo. After reading your reports I have no dought that it will be a powerhouse.

Now I just need to buy material so I can start making some battery trays. I've currently got 3 1/8 conversions under way. :surprised:

My 50mm and 80mm motors came with flat spots, I had to grind a spot on my 70mm.

If you order your motor through Medusa directly you can ask them to grind on a flat spot before shipping it out to you. They nice peeps!
