Medusa 70mm enough for 11lb truggy?

Hey guys. I'm thinking about buying a 70mm medusa from Mike tomorrow for my truggy. It will be the 36-70-1600. I am running 6s lipos with 13/52 gearing. Let me know your thoughts.

Crap, I meant to say in the title 70MM not 80MM

Go to advanced edit and change the titke to 70mm.

Anyway, what truggy would that be weighing 11 lbs?

My hyper st, with the 6s pack it weighs 10lb 14oz...

I think you'll be fine. I'm running an 80mm in a 16lb MT and it hauls, no problems moving it. These motors are torque monsters!

I run a 36-80 in my 10 pound Maxx on just 4S and it moves it around like it only weighs 1 pound. Except that torque comes with a price.... a smooth spur gear....

70mm should be fine for that application.

Ok, I will go with a 70mm. I can either get the 2200kv one for 4s or the 1600kv for 6s. What do you think? My 4s pack is 3300mah 25c FP and the 6s pack is 4900mah 25c neu.

dont want to jack your thread but was planning on the exact same motor for 6s in my heavy ~12-13 pound maxx and would like to know thoughts about it as well... Thanks

1600kv. Those 4s lipos are too small for a 70mm in a 11+ lb truck.

Ok, I will order one. I have to go to the bank in about an hour and then will order one from mike as soon as I get home.
