mrc power supply

I need to know if the mrc power supply will work on a hyperion duo? I have
2 14.8 volt 4s 4000mah batterys. Will it have enough power to charge both
batterys at the same time.

Nope. We try not to endorse products that RCM doesn't carry, but for recommendations see the 'hyperion duo' thread a little ways down on the GQ section.

Each of those 4s 4Ah packs will require up to ~100w (at CC/CV threshold), which is around 8.5A. For two packs, you'd need ~17A. That figure includes charger inefficiency and power supply safety margin.

So will a 20 amp power supply be enough.

lol you're not following.... other power supplies that would be better for you are listed in the hyperion duo thread. Yes Mike carries the 982, which is rated 10 amp. Not enough.

Mike operates this forum out of respect for the RC community, and I just didn't want to repeat products from other sites that have already been listed- please do some more reading and searching before posting needless and redundant threads......

While I agree that we don't condone linking of the same or similar comparable products from competitive forums, I don't think Mike has an issue if he doesn't have a particular item. Case in point; yeah, he has a 10A PS, but if that's not enough, people have to look elsewhere. You could try emailing him too because sometimes he has stuff that may not be listed on the site, or he can get it for you.

What really miffs him is people buying products (either stuff he sells or otherwise) and then coming here for support.

Believe me, the mods are pretty familiar what he does and doesn't want here, and if we see something that we know he won't approve, we'll edit the post and send a friendly PM to the poster. And if the post hits a gray area, I'm sure he'll edit as he sees fit.
