Possibly a New Contendor For Medusa, CC/Neu's

Saw these awhile back and was thinking about getting one but backed out. Maybe you guys would find this interesting- http://www.rc-warbirds.com/product_i...roducts_id/787

They are awfully light for a 36 x 85mm motor...290g versus a Medusa 36-80 being 400g.

Hmmm. Maybe thats good, maybe thats bad.

That weight is super light. Even a slotless (less core material) XL Feigao (74mm long) weighs more than that. Makes me think they skimped somewhere...

Copper is expensive these days

there is already a '85% efficiency statement' on these... unless the manufacturer underated their own motors, these are not going to compete directly with neu or medusa...

drkros3 02.12.2009 09:14 PM

they look like cheap ultrafly motors we sell at work. just only bigger

They are made for EDF use... Maybe the abundant airflow isn't just for forward flight.

himalaya 02.12.2009 11:57 PM

Is it 85mm long? looks even shorter then the medusa 3680

BL-Power 02.13.2009 09:52 AM

Maybe they just measured the total length including the shaft!?
