NASCAR rules suck just like ROAR!
2009 Daytona 500 is finalized due to rain, suck it up guys! Open wheel guys that are exposed to the elements still race in the rain! Why can't NASCAR? Competition yellow? WTF is that all about! If they are worried about tire wear let them come in and check it when they are ready, if they don't they crash, that's racing! I'm still a NASCAR fan but some things need to change!
Just expressing my opinions here! ROAR needs to get with the times to and allow sensorless motors and greater than 4s lipo! Could you imagine Nascar saying that everyone has to run a GM 350? Kinda like Roar limiting motors to Novak, LRP and such! |
But ROAR allows anyone to exactly copy that GM350 and race that. LOL
Not really a nascar fan. but do think it pretty weak when they call any sport due to rain. |
They don't have any rain/grooved tires like they do on F1 and IRL. I'm just glad homobusch, homoGordon and homoDale Jr didn't win. I would like to see Mark Martin win though.

Yeah, they're just flat tires I believe.
Hey look, a RIGHT TURN. I wonder what they're gonna next!? OH WAIT A RIGHT TURNNN Or is it left? I'm not a nascar fan, sorry, had to do that quote ^_^ |
I lost intrest in nascar when they went to the "Car of Tomorrow",Please, all it is now is just a spec class. You pull a rod bearing out of the dodge and put it in the chevy. I understand the safety part, but if one company doesn't win after a while, specs are changes to help. Why, they are too lazy to make 500 cars to allow the change to be used. I lost a lot of respect for nascar and soon for NHRA, if they keep trying to change the way they are.

HAHA it's a left turn.
I'm retarded. |
They turn right a few times a year too! There are road courses they race on with left and right hand turns. I will proly always be a fan though. I'm glad that kyle busch got taken out in a crash but as for the homo comments that wasn't called for! I like Gordon and can even root for Jr since they are team mates. I really like Carl Edwards though. I also was pulling for Martin to get his first Daytona 500 win though.
Yes they run racing slicks as do F1 but F1 has rain tires to throw on when it starts raining, no reason Nascar can't do the same. Maybe they would have to excercise some caution and slow down a bit but they coulod still race! |
The new car was also a money saver, and it increased competition. Look at last years races - there were more last lap lead changes than ever before. They aren't near as aero dependant as they used to be, so a guy can get out of line and make a pass now. There were 57 cars that showed up for qualifying this year, the most since the first year they went to 43 cars. That is saying a lot about how much cheaper it is to put a car together now, especially given the economy. If they still had the old car, they may not have had a full field show up.
I dont mind the rain out call so much - baseball does the same thing. If they changed the cars to be able to run in rain, it would add more weight, and more complexity to the cars. We'll leave that to the snooty F1 guys. How exiciting are those 1 and 2 lap leads those guys have??? Sorry - I actually watch all different types of racing - F1 is my least interesting. Last year NASCAR actually had the Nationwide cars run in the rain - wasn't that in Canada? It didn't turn out so well. If anyone thinks running any race car is easy - go take one of those half day classes most small tracks have. Those cars are really not easy to get around the track.....heck, even NASCAR on my PS3 is tough - I had to turn off the black flag rule just to be able to complete a race!!! The thing I respect about NASCAR is that to some degree they work hard to keep things simple (expept for the rules!). You dont see them computer programming the motors and fuel systems, and things like that keep the sport a little more affordable. I was happy for Kenseth, and yes, I think anybody would have been thrilled to see Martin win. The only one I cheer against is Rowdy Bush.... |
