The lightest tire.

Does anyone know what the lightest tire is for the maxx series rim?
Mike has listed that the Revo Responce tires are pretty light compared to stock but none of the other tires that he lists says anything about weight.
Thanks.

u using hacked wabash rims?

squeeforever 12.25.2005 02:02 PM

2 things i should let you know. dont use wabash, hacked or not as they will make your truck as narrow as the original t-maxx (1 inch narrower) and 2 just look at what happend to promod when he used them on his truck. the thread is called "lehner owns me a tire!". the reason that they are so light and the reason that that happened is because they are made of thinner rubber than most which will make them balloon really bad. the responses on wabash rims (that arent and dont HAVE to be hacked) weighs just 7 ounces a piece, which is 3 ounces lighter than the stock revo rims and tires. which if im not mistaken is what you run.

Foams are light, but that's a bit extreme for most people.

The sportraxx tires are pretty light and have great traction in most condition. I've also heard good things about the PL crimefighter tires but I've never used them myself.

HPI dirtbonz with the proline 23mm dishes (normall size wheels, no 40 series dishes)

That dirtbonz REALLY is light..

JOHNNYMAXXIMA 12.26.2005 05:09 AM

Woops, I forgot the Revo tires do not fit on the Maxx rims.
Squee, you are right. I do have the Revo Talon tires and Gemini rims on my dual BL Maxx. But the truck that I am looking for wheels for is my other BL Maxx. It has the stock Maxx rims and tires on it.
What about the Panther Komodo Dragon Tires? Anyone know about the weight on those guys? Are they good, bad?
Thanks.

that is one small tire for sure.

It takes some stress from the drivetrain and needs another gearing as well. the HPI dirtbonz are nice tires imo

i have some maxx mulchers on these rims http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXKSA8&P=7

And they weigh 1020g

But i like my big joes better :)

nbcaznmaster 12.26.2005 08:17 PM

True, the hacked rimms to make it narrower! BUT! what if you ONLY HAck the front tires? skinnier tires in the front gives it better steering correct?
