Just picked up a motor for the flm savvy

Anyone who is familiar with the flm tranny forward savvy knows that motor choices are a bit limited due to the proximity of the motor to the batts. I was originally looking for a 1521 1y smooth can, then went to a medusa 80mm 1600kv. Both were to be run on 6s lipo and a MMM. I plan to get the flux single speed parts for the tranny, so that I can ditch the mech brakes and servo.

Well, I ended up finding a deal on a 1521 2y (780kv) for 80 bucks shipped! So I have decided to use that on 10s lipo with the lutach 10s esc I have. Looking at the speed calc I am guessing the flux tranny ratio is similar to the 2nd gear of the 2 speed. With 7" tall moab 40 series tires, 16-18/47 gearing should put me where I want to be. Not sure how the motor wil perform running around 30k rpm, but we shall see. All I lack to finish this is the flux tranny parts... Hopefully they wil be available soon!

Differential Ratio: 3.3076923076923075
Transmission Ratio: 1.640953716690042
Other Ratio: 1
Spur Tooth Count: 47
Pinion Tooth Count: 16
Total Voltage: 37
Motor KV: 780
Tire Diameter (inches): 7
Tire Ballooning (inches): 0
Motor Current Draw: 0
Motor coil Ω: 0.025
Spur/Pinion Ratio: 2.94 : 1
Total Ratio: 15.94407 : 1
Tire Circumference (inches): 21.99 inches (558.58 mm)
Total Motor Speed: 28860 RPM
Vehicle Speed: 37.69 mph (60.55 km/h)

That was a steal! Nice find. I would imagine with such a low kv and large motor on 10s, you will have quite a bit of room for gearing options.

Damn, are there any more? I still have my 9932 sitting around.... :)

I always ran my motors low rpm (28-31K) and was always happy with the speed and power. You'll def have some room to gear up. g/l

780kv dayum follio, dat shizzlnit be moving slower den a broke chicken head after an all nighter in da flop house. You gunna need alot of rocks to power dat beotch back up. Wid y0 high volts & low KV you gonna be movin dem big ole' tires mighty nice and have one cool running big ass truck, we be needin sum pics/vids right soon. I vote for a 17 toof pinion tho cuz if it dont go fotay mph, I just fixxin and buy it at Darnells radio shack.

Id like to thank god and my moms :yipi:

Is the flux tranny locked in first or second? I thought it was first but I really have no idea.
