Feigao 9L question
i have a Feigao 9L with the rcm heatsink clamp....can i run this in my genesis conv? too small? im gonna push it with a mamba monster and two 5ks...
Thats wayy to small for a genesis..
an xl geared low might not be enough... Look into a Kb45.. your gonna need alot of torque for that thing |
^ +1. You definitely need a bigger motor. The only way an L motor would work is if the vehicle was geared to go ~10mph.
what motor do you guys think will work? i want good tourque and speed
I wouldnt put a Feigao "L" series motor in anything bigger than a 1/10 scale 2WD truck ( Rustler)
Try a medusa 36-70 or 80.other option is the kb45
gearing .......mount ect.. any ideas? it is really built now hardened diffs reverse removed...gst tranny. im looking to go faster then it was stock
what of battery holders are you guys using?
you might have to fabricate some battery holders yourself, I dont know of any conversion kits for a Genesis, I have done some off the wall things myself...IMO half the fun is biulding and modifying
80mm medusa or 1521 Neu, your gonna need a low kv (1600 ish) and atleast 6s to push that big rig very well....
why such a low kv? i thought the higher the kv the fast and more torque
You might want to consider an outrunner.

Quote:
Wheel torque is a function of motor kv, current draw, and gearing. You generally figure out the voltage you plan to run first (go as high as your ESC will go), then get a motor kv that will put total rpms around 35-40k. Then gear accordingly. Most people shoot for ~35-40mph. If you want higher than that in a heavy vehicle, plan to spend the bucks for a larger motor and better batteries. |
what about the new 580l long that huge fiego?
That motor still doesn't have as much power as the kb. It costs over twice as much too. People have use the kb motor sucessfully but I don't know how the fiegao will work.
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...hless_Inrunner You will want a lower kv one for your cen. Probably 1600 or more likely the 1200 on 6s lipo. |
