team associated tc3
Can you put BL in these things. if nto what would be a really good motor for it so i can push up to 40-50 MPH
|
They will take a Brushless motor, although not a very big one as the chassis tub would need to be modified, the motor is very close to the central drive shaft.
|
ohhh, i was th8inking about getting a tc3, and dropping a 9L in it for just a lil while. Then i woudl probably get a S motor.
|
a brushless motor can fit in a tc3 without to many modifications. a friend of mine put a brushless setup in his and it was like rocket
|
Yes but only a "s" motor I would imagine, the Ls/XLs are too big.
I had an 11t brushed motor in mine on 7 cells and it was more than enough, just couldn't get any grip at top speeds so was useless having such a fast motor. |
I ran the Novak SS5800 in my TC4 when I had it. No modifications are required for that standard setup.
Going sensorless, however, would require that you measure the space you have in the vehicle and compare to ESC sizes for sensorless ESCs to make sure the one you buy will fit. Geared conservatively, my TC4 hit 30 easily. Good luck with it. :) |
The fastest setup on 6 cells would be a feigao 380c 6t. DO NOT go with the 540 motors. They are slower in 1/10 touring cars and take too long to spool up and draw too many amps. I myself have a 380c 9t on 3s lipo in a xxx4, which cannot be run safely in the street right outside my house. :D

I just bolted a lehner 1930/5t in my touring car without any modifications. I'll post pictures as soon as I can. I'll be calling it: Project Bazooka.
|
With my old ss5800 on 6 cells my tc3 would go 38mph. So far with my 380c 6t and uforce 75 it has gone 49.6mph on 6 cells I think I can get 55 out of it tho.

It is not a touring car but I had it setup like one. I can't imagine a c size motor pushing it much faster but then again I have never tried one. I should be able to get near 60 on just 6 cells if that's the case. Can you run a c size motor with a warrior 9918? Is 6 cells the max for a c size motor? I may have to try it:) It would certainly lighten the car quite a bit and that is one big key to speed runs. |
I ran a 1930/5 in my tc3 it fit perfect

I ran 6 cells it was too much for TC, so I set it up for oval, I did better but still proved to be to much, also when you put smaller motrs on, you have balance issues. But when it was all said and done, I ragged the tc3 out outside and sold it, it was fast, never clocked it, but it was tons of fun
|
I run a basic 4200 on 11.1 Lipos in my tc3. It is pretty damn quick and fast! I haven't run against a faster car, actually. No speed measurments, but it needs some leg room or it is a bit tricky to keep in one piece!
