3PM 2.4Ghz Battery Tray Dimension

Well I am going to buy this radio once a find a good deal on one. And would like to know if this battery would fithttp://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=6955 in the battery tray. If not is there anyone that could specify the exact dimensions for me of the battery tray.

No it wont. that pack is meant for stick style air transmitters that take big block packs.

I have a 3PM but not with me now, I was doing the same thing you are: looking for lipos to fit it. I can't remember the exact dimensions, the limiting factor is the depth though, I think its only 17 or 18mm, once you take the AA holder out. I'll check again when I get home unless someone beats me to it. I ended up making some from really thin cells I found on ebay, only 1000mah and they seem to last forever. gotta watch that voltage cliff though when they run out :p. I guess there is a 9V alarm for a reason though :)

Oh sh*t sorry man I totally forgot about it, when I got home, now I gotta wait till I get back again on sunday night, ill hit up my bro if he comes online, he was in the same boat as us too haha.

Alright. The depth is the limiting factor, my lipo is 15mm thick, and it's a squeeze to get it in there, but it fits. The other dimensions are 60mm x 127mm.

Sorry about the delay :p

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/13502

fits very well with no issues

That looks sweet. Then again, I got 3 1000mah packs from the lot of cells I bought from ebay, it was $7 for 10 cells. Not exactly quality cells, but they charge to the advertised the capacity and handle the Tx current draw without issue :p
