Okay, back to Lipo.
Alright, I may be looking back to Lipo once again. It would be nice to have one pack, the length and width (give or take a few cm) of a gp3700 6 cell pack but could put out 14.4v with the same or greater mah and less weight.
I looked at TP, Hyperion and now these new Impulse packs? I want quality with taps, but I am just lost. Amaze me with your knowledge please! I have 3 months or so to shop, so I'm good. |
These may suit your needs. I've not tried them yet but others here seem to think the specs are outstanding. Unless something better comes along I may try these once I get caught up on my christmas spending debt.

Just for your information, that pack is about the same size as a 7 cell.
and it pumps out 14.8V so your safe.
That looks nice but does anybody have any experience with that particular brand? I can fit seven cell length if needed but this is in a 1/8th scale. Is that price even real!! lol, I'll wait till metalman and david get in on this, they have experience with the newest lipos.
$85.10, it does seem a bit underpriced:p
if your interested in those packs go to duralitebatteries there the us dealler for them ther packs :p
That 85.10 price is in EUROs (I think) I did a quick curency converter and it still comes out to just over 100 bucks. I've been eyeballing this one but is the voltage to high for a 9920/8XL setup? If the curency converter is correct it would seem to be cheaper to order direct from Flightpower.

It might be ok with the 9920/8xl, but i think you should try a 9xl.
Too late I've got an 8XL on the way.
lol, it should be ok, though.
The prices on the Flightpower site are in £ BTW not Euros.

I have read that Flightpower Lipos use cells like the Polyquest XP cells, but it isn't for sure. What is for sure is that the dimensions and weight are the same, and they are both rated at 20C. The Polyquest XPs can't be true 20C cells because they heat up SO much. Impulse and Hyperion are the same, and some of their cells are the same as Thunder Power (with a lower price). |
So, these really aren't as cheap as I had hoped? Since for the price I could pick up a ThunderPower or Hyperion battery instead, which seem to be more reliable names in the industry?
I've also looked at Tanic packs. Too many choices! |
The hyperion batteries have different dimensions than the polyquest XPs. Are you sure they're the same cells?
