Anyone here live in Tokyo?

My wife and i are heading to Japan in about a month for 8 days and i am wondering where some good tracks or hobby shops are? We will be staying at the Dai Ichi Annex hotel in the Ginza area and i have heard that there are a few shops a little north in Akihabara.

I live at the Navy base here in Yokosuka. There are 4 nice hobby shops in the Akihabara area.

Check this link. It has a map too.

Track wise, there's not much. You can go to the Futaba track in Chiba.

Thanks that map is perfect! Have you been to any of these shops before?

Yes, I had been through all of them. I like the RC Champ and Super Radicon. They offer more choices compared to the others. Most carry Tamiya, Kyosho, HPI, Hot Bodies, Much More and other brands. Kyosho and Mugen parts are cheaper compared to Amain or Tower. However, the Rockforce is more expensive because of the weak dollar. For comparison, the Rockforce sell for about $440 here compared to $369 offered by Amain.

Have fun.
