WTB: 1/8 motor

looking for anything under <$100, LMK what you have

E-Revonut 03.13.2009 11:38 PM

Buy a brand new one for that price! Medusa or CC/Neu

Mike is selling the 2200Kv motor for $140 plus shipping.

eovnu87435ds 03.14.2009 12:06 AM

i recall seeing a thread by linc with a neu or 2 for sale... Also, the castle neus with the MMM combos are 200 without the combo, or 150 with the combo. Ive used both the 2200kv and the 2650kv and are worth every cent. I'm assuming that those motors could be found on ebay for cheaper as well

What are you putting it in?

I know I could buy a new one for that, but I realy don't want to spend that much on a motor...

the CC/neus go for $150 on ebay, the HPI "tork" motor goes for ~$120

E-Revonut 03.14.2009 11:16 AM

You threw the $140 price out there. Buy from RC-M the CC/neu is only $140 from Mike. Medusas are a little bit cheaper and IMO just as good.

whitrzac 03.14.2009 11:47 AM

anything avalable for <$100 besideds the POS motors?

E-Revonut 03.14.2009 11:51 AM

Medusas are just over $100. Unless you find someone selling a used motor anything under $100 is going to be sub standard quality

i was kinda looking for used... I just bought a novak 7.5 for $45, and before that I bought a 4.5 at $40, I take it there not such good motors??

E-Revonut 03.14.2009 12:22 PM

The novaks aren't true 1/8 in most people's opinions. They use a much smaller rotor. A 60mm medusa would prolly run cooler in a truggy or my than the Novaks. Search eBay for a used medusa. In my experience it's better to spend a bit more the first time than having to replace it in 3 months

 is this one halfway decent???

skellyo 03.14.2009 12:39 PM

Yes, but the price isn't. At minimum bid, it's $110 shipped, at buy it now, it's $120 shipped. You can buy that same motor brand new from Mike for $123.95 + shipping. Why buy it used if you're only going to save $10-20?

I just saw that, but I do have a 10% pp coupon for ebay...

Very good motor. But I must suggest buying it from mike and helping to support the man that provides this great forum. I think you'll find that his prices are very good
