2230/18cell LST - RTR Pics...
Unfortunately, i haven't run her yet - http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/show...hlight=mgm+lst
OK - here she is ;) Sorry about the background - i'll get some decent background shots later - had to take these early this morning - got caught up last night :) btw - some aren't the best - i'm yet to figure out macros etc etc -lol- http://www.ausrc.com/galleries/danhf...ST/BLST_16.jpg http://www.ausrc.com/galleries/danhf...ST/BLST_18.jpg http://www.ausrc.com/galleries/danhf...ST/BLST_19.jpg The lil metal bulb things that look like they're coming from the bottom of the chassis are actually the lamp legs -lol- http://www.ausrc.com/galleries/danhf...ST/BLST_20.jpg |
http://www.ausrc.com/galleries/danhf...ST/BLST_21.jpg
As you can see - the ESC is zip tied in - and the fan is secured with a rubber band and 2 self tapping screws i had lying round... http://www.ausrc.com/galleries/danhf...ST/BLST_22.jpg http://www.ausrc.com/galleries/danhf...ST/BLST_23.jpg http://www.ausrc.com/galleries/danhf...ST/BLST_24.jpg Battery wires neatly tucked away... |
http://www.ausrc.com/galleries/danhf...ST/BLST_25.jpg
Had to have this small hole made for the wires to pass through TO RX, from rear of chassis. Also had to make the 2 holes for the legs of the RX Box to be screwed in from underneath - front of box is doublesided taped at front. http://www.ausrc.com/galleries/danhf...ST/BLST_26.jpg http://www.ausrc.com/galleries/danhf...ST/BLST_27.jpg http://www.ausrc.com/galleries/danhf...ST/BLST_28.jpg I also had to have this hole made for the wires to pass through in the REAR... makes everything VERY neat and tidy. |
http://www.ausrc.com/galleries/danhf...ST/BLST_29.jpg
mmk - this is a wierd one -lol- Although it doesn't look like it - the wheels are NOT touching anything - it's balancing on the middle of the chassis - just thought it might show a bit of the weight balance maybe? -lol- It's only SLIGHTLY front heavy - not anything NEAR what i was expecting :) http://www.ausrc.com/galleries/danhf...ST/BLST_30.jpg This shows the small alum mount i had made for the ESC to mount to - you can also see just behind it - the hole for the wires to pass through :) The 2 holes in the alum mount are for the zip ties to pass through - it's been secured with some sort of extra strong resin or somethin... The wires in that shot are as follows.... Bottom left wire (Red/Black/Grey) is for the brake servo... The next one after that (clockwise - close to motor - also Red/Black/Grey) is for the Forward/Reverse Shift Servo... Then the BEC wire passes pext to the Shift servo... and the ESC wire is also there on the left. Dunno why that was relevant - just thought some might be curious i guess -lol- Hope you like!!! btw - if you want one of these for yourself - email Rob (Mr Constructor) here :) - constructor@ace-cars.de |
what exactly did the kit come with?
|
hmm - some more info on Mr C's conversions.... also some info on page 5 of this thread for more detailed info on the LST conversion :) http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/s...=196185&page=5
I cant say for sure what u get - best to email Rob - constructor@ace-cars.de - but, without all the electrics... you would most likely get.... *Custom Motor Mount - (info - http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/s...&postcount=102 - the mount is able to be moved length ways too to accomodate longer/shorter cans etc) *Carbon Fibre Chassis Plates Main Chassis Deck Front/Centre and Rear Lower Chassis Skid Plates (same as stock alum skids) Upper decks, where the Shock towers are mounted. And the 2 side decks that hold the brake servo and the opposite side where the gear cover is. (Another thing to note - is that under the NewEraModels Skid plates on the underneath shot of the truck - they are covering up the 3 lower CF chassis skid plates.) I'd say it'd come with the battery poles too. *Clutchbell assembly for motor - uses STOCK LST pinions - i have had 2 other sets of pinions made up with 4+ and 6+ extra teeth. (not sure if this will be included - was charged seperate from "Complete Conversion Kit" at 25 Euros... But i had him grab all the electrics/batts etc etc etc too - so price was a bit different - i think the kit itself came to around 180 euro or so, and the clutchbell ass. was around 25 euros.... |
Your truck looks AWSOME, how did you get the two speed pinion ?.
|
The pinion is more kinda like a clutch bell setup - the 'clutchbell' itself is attached to the motor shaft with a grub screw...
Then the stock LST pinions (from the original nitro clutchbell) just screw straight onto the newly designed (by Mr C) 'clutchbell' assembly, just as they are screwed onto the nitro clutchbell :) I also have 2 other pinion gearing combo's i can run... the teeth on each pinion are 4+ and 6+ more than the stock pinions :) I had these made up a few months ago in a group buy on an aussie forum :) |
I'm assuming mr c is mister constructor,,,,,,,,,, if so does he have a web site i can go to ?.
|
That's him :)
hmm - dunno - i have his email tho? constructor@ace-cars.de Check this link out - i think 3rd page or so - he talks about some of the conversions he has planned too - even has a TRIKE! conversion for a 'Lightning 1" chassis, and a 6WD crawler... Link to "Mr C's upcoming conversion list" post - http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/s...3&postcount=61 Link to whole thread - http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/s...d.php?t=196185 |
Thank's I was looking for the pics of his hot bodies truggy conversion.
|
yeah man - you'll get all the info ya need either by email or probably in that 1/8 buggy thread ;) He's usually pretty good on email replies too - longest i ever waited was around 3-4 days - but that was cause of the holidays -lol-
|
