Really looks good, but honestly, I would have went with the Traxxas tubes. I had the Lunsford pushrods and surprisingly, they bent rather easy. Whats odd is titanium usually doesn't bend. It'll bounce back for the most part or just snap...

I have the traxxas red tubes - 12$ they were worth a shot

True dat. I never had a problem with the turnbuckles, but the front pushrods both bent on me. I do like the fact that the way practically nothing what so ever though.

By the way, you have a link to the sway bar rods?

Hehee, there's my invention! Bicycle inner tubes. How do you like those so far? Any battery fallings? Nice looking truck btw

Arct1k 03.15.2009 01:40 PM

None They work perfectly! Best invention yet!

magman 03.15.2009 07:55 PM

Chris, what do the tubes do?

Arct1k 03.15.2009 08:11 PM

Teckno sway bars plus a rear brace...

...bike tubes...clever...

Details on the inner tubes please. :intello:

I'm sick of double strapping both sides to prevent strap beakage. Its a PITA. That looks simple. Can we get a better shot of it and some feedback on the best way to set it up?

Anyone ever try this type of hold down in a buggy or truggy? Looks like it could be a nice quick(er) change battery setup. Faster than messing with velcro straps anyway.

Can I help :mdr:

I have some close up pics in my thread about those inner tubes. http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/show...8&postcount=72

It's very easy mod. Just buy some bicycle inner tubes. What wider the better eg. I used 2.4" wide dh(downhill/mountain bike) bicycles inner tube. Cut 'em so it's tight fit with your battery pack. You can flex this stuff pretty much and it won't snap. If it feels too tight you can halve the tubing so its just one "blanket". Then I did small holes both ends of the cutted tubing, so it's easier to thread through the screws. Then just secure the tubings to the chassis (look my link at the top) and voila, bon apetit..

FYI tighten the "pressure plates" very tight between the tubing. If not the screws might slit the tubing.. Hope this help
