8ight 1.0 or D8?

I want to do a buggy conversion; which one do you guys like better? Which is lighter?

think the d8 is a bit lighter, depends if you have a problem with standard hadware, 1.0's are alot cheaper

Metallover 03.17.2009 10:13 PM

How much does a used 1.0 go for? ~175?

BL_RV0 03.17.2009 10:20 PM

I was actually thinking of buying new. We'll see though.

azjc 03.17.2009 10:50 PM

expect to pay $450 for a new losi 8B

 I have owned both. The 8ight was very tough, but the D8 looks way better. I haven't gotten a chance to test the D8 thoroughly though.

BL_RV0 03.17.2009 11:25 PM

Have you beaten the crap out of the D8 yet?

jnev 03.17.2009 11:37 PM

Not quite yet. Just a short run in the grass. Not even a scratch on the chassis yet.

squeeforever 03.17.2009 11:38 PM

D8 all the way.

Saving it for the socal bash, eh?

Both are great buggy's. I personally would go with an 8ight 1.0 over the D8. Supposidly once of the best racing platforms for a buggy. Havent heard much on the d8's results. In my opinion standard hex hardware is nice to have. Not saying that all people prefer it.

BL_RV0 03.18.2009 08:29 PM

IMHO, I hate std hardware...

Its your choice 100% man...

A couple months ago I got a new 8B 1.0 Race Roller for $360 shipped on eBay. I of course already had an 8T 1.0 so that wasn't a hard decision. If you have the cash, these are good times to find a deal on something.
