Gearing question
 

ok i have a brand new feigao 12xl in my erevo running 6s. and im getting 160 - 180 on the temps after about 8 min my gearing is 18/58.
under geared? or just a hot running motor?
i have this other gearings to choose from
19/52 mod 1 , 19/36 mod 1 , 22/58 mod .8 25/58 mod .8

A bit undergeared, but it is a hot motor. I would try the 22/58, tho a 20T would be nice. 13:1 might be doable, but 15:1 is safer. You are at 17:1 now. try it, watch it and see. Where are you driving? if its in grass, 160F on a XL is not too bad.

yah i went to the 19/52 m1 and it seems cooler. i was topping out at 18/58
