6s ESC that will handle 8s?
 

Hi there,

i joined this forum in the hope that anyone can recommend an 'inofficial' 8s-capable ESC ... the big MGMs and Kontronics are quiet expensive.
So i would like to know if anyone successfully tested the M³ or any other 6s-ESC on 8 lipo-cells ...

if they are rated for 6s and the components are rated for 6s.. i would run 6s or suck up your pride and buy the correct speed control

If you want more than 6s with a low budget, you'll most likely be limited to using airplane ESCs. Of course, there are issues with no brakes and reverse with those ESCs. Not to mention they aren't meant to handle the bursts car ESC can, but you could just oversize the ESC to help compensate for that.
