Special request

Can somebody make me a balancer Y adaptor to balance and charge two batteries at the same time using one balancer unit. I'll be charging/balancing a 3s and 2s 25C 5k Neuenergy lipo packs on a Hyperion charger(0610iNet).

Please pm me if you can do it and how much you're going to charge me for parts and labor. I don't have much free time now since reporting onboard the USS George Washington. Thank you very much. I'm stationed at the US Navy base here in Japan.

Charge in series or parallel - Easiest generic adapter is to charge in parallel

What charge adapter do the neu use?

I believe the "not used" wire does have to be used. Otherwise the balancer is only going to see 4 cells.

This wire should splice into the far right hand wire of the 3S pack.

Double check me, but I believe the balancer will see no voltage for the 4th cell with the "not used" wire unless you change it.

If you want easy, and the capability to do other configured packs, this is an option. http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...r_(2-6S_series) I use it alot just to balance my packs to each other. What I really like is all the options, as I run 4,5 and 6s packs.

That's the picture I got from Brian's site for a 3S + 2S for use with a hyperion charger. The Neus use a HP-LB10-EH balance tap.

i think you just need:

What charger are you using it with?

There is no soldering involved to make this

Thanks Chris. I think I'll just buy a couple of each and try to make them in whatever free time I'll have :lol:.

Aaaah, I see it now.

The negative on the 3S pack is already connected to the Positive on the 2S pack through the main power lead.

Excuse me, I didn't see that. :intello:

The only charger I've used to balance charge through is http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...charger&cat=19 I normally just use my Hyperion to balance charge,1 at a time, then use this to stand alone balance ,while I charge in series, If I'm in a hurry. But I see no reason why it wouldn't work with any lipo charger. It also has a deans plug on it, no alligator clips.Only downside is a 6 amp charge limit while balance charging through it.

Chris, I just ordered those balance taps from the links you posted. I'll make them as soon as they arrive. I don't have problems soldering either. I make one based on Brian's picture.

Thanks.

No soldering is required - All you need to do is detach the all of the wires on the 2s adapter from the balancer side block (3 wires) - you just press on the taps in the block and the wires will pull out.

Remove the red white from the the battery end to on the 2s...

Then just push the 2 black wires back into the 3s connector on the balancer side in the correct location to make it look like a 5s adapter...

job done...
