Yet another which truggy thread...

I'm looking into maybe buying a new Truggy. I've currently got an X1-CRT and like it, but now that I have a local friend with an X2, I've got the bug for something of the "latest and greatest" variety. It'll primarily be used for driving on a local track, not necessarily racing, but no bashing. I've got plenty of other vehicle to bash with. I'm looking at the following:

Associated RC8T
Jammin X2-CRT
Losi 8ight-T 2.0

Thoughts, opinions?

if you are not racing the losi 8T 1.0 would be good I bought one new for $329 and I am pleased with it.....my definetion of bashing is anything that is not racing and that is what I do just have fun with it. I am thinking about running a 10s lipo setup with my HV 110 and 1515/2y from my Revo

WHY ?.

How about converting your X1 to a X2 (maybe only partially)? Not sure about the conversion cost, but my bet is you can do it for less than the cost of a new kit.

It's expensive. It needs at a minimum:

all 3 diffs
chassis
chassis braces
center cvd's
big bore shocks

That's easily $200+, even at eBay chopshop pricing.

You could save some by buying only ring/pinion gears for the front/rear diffs and only the spur gear for the center. But even still it wouldn't save more than $20. You are right, it would be fairly expensive. Could be worth it if you already have a bunch of usable spares for it though.

RC8T, hands down for me. I loved my two X1s, so the X2 must be awesome as well.

I just ordered my 8t 2.0.. I had planned on doing a RC8T but my local hobby story doesn't carry many AE parts compared to the 8ight..

I'd get the D8T.
