controller

Whats a good controller for the emaxx? Better then stock but not too expensive. What should I be looking for in a controller? Im not a pro racer or nothing just something better then stock. Does it really make a difference for just bashing and driving around? Lates and Mahalo

So you want a controller for the stock motors? i would just use the evx

coolhandcountry 01.09.2006 09:57 AM

Novak has one out that is better than the evx. I can't recall the name of it. I like the brake feature better than the evx. It only be good for brushed motors. I like brushless much better myself. I get more run time and more power. Well good luck.

Here is that site and controller. IF this is what you looking for.

Coolhand. you're talking about the superduty from novakit can handle 6 to 14 cellsand motors down to 10 turns as 550 motors, but it depends on your cell setup.

Tekin also has got a very good brushed controller. Obsolete i think though.. Or are you talking about a cheap BL setup?

coolhandcountry 01.09.2006 01:59 PM

Schulze makes a controller that can run brushed or brushless. I think you could run like 16 or 18cells on it to.

Serum 01.09.2006 02:12 PM

No leroy, it is a 12 cells max, with a 75A load.

And for that money, you can get a 9920 AND an 8XL.. :)

sorry guys

Heys guys I ment the remote control. Sorry about that. I should have been clearer. Any suggestions out there and does it make a difference? and all the previous questions I had. Makana

coolhandcountry 01.09.2006 10:28 PM

OH!!! You mean the radio. I got you now. To me yes it makes a difference. I don't have not hi dollar radios but am happy with them. It is really what you like in your hand and features off. I like the push button shifts for maxxes instead of the slide switch type. Are you planning on going brushless?

crazyjr 01.09.2006 10:40 PM

I use a JR XS3 and a Futaba magnum jr fm, had them for close to three years with no problems

makana59 01.09.2006 10:50 PM

im planning to go brushless. In fact I purchased the 9L and 9920 but have to soldier everything together. You can still use the shifting and all with the BL correct? Nothing really changes right? How come you asked if I was going BL. Is there anything I should be considering or thinking about? Thanks again Guys.

squeeforever 01.10.2006 12:09 AM

well i have a m8 and love it. its got a 10 model memory, and just about every adjustment you can think of.

crazyjr 01.10.2006 03:32 PM

the main thing is that some bl controlers have problems with certian radios. BK has problems with futaba and hitech, but run on Air., KO. and JR radio's fine and Schultze has problems with Air., ko and JR radio's ,but run Futaba and hitech fine so your choice is determined by the BL controler

i have the jr xs3 pro and it works great it also has a 10 model memory so i can use it with my touring car and my Emaxx and have 2 completely different setups plus i could run my dads car and my brother's trucks and have different setups for them to. also i dont have any glitching problems until my truck gets about 1/4 mile away
