How to put a heat shrink on a ESC?
Hi Guys,
Some months ago I bought a Mamba-25 ESC, but the heat shrink around the ESC tore. Ok, so now I want to put a new over the ESC, but how should I do this? Because castle has done this very well. Look at this pic: http://www.rctechonline.com/products...amba/image.jpg How should I do this? And it should be tight around the ESC, not loose of course  Thank you, Patrick |
Best thing is to find heatshrink that fits as tight as possible before you shrink it. Cut it about 1/4" longer on each end, 1/2" total, and evenly apply low heat to it. If you heat it too fast it will distort, and if you apply too much heat it will melt. A std hair dryer will work fine. I use a heat gun, but move quickly and do not get too close.
