eos 606i lipo discharge
Okay I have another idea, the charger has a lipo disharge mode. is it plug and play based on 1s,2s,3s? or do i need to set the discharge rate. does it have a lvc built in for discharging lipo's?
i want to discharge it all the way then recharge it to see how many mah it holds. I think my lvc has been tripping early. |
Discharging it slowly and then charging it will tell you what you want to know, but it won't do any good. When your running it the LVC is most likely tripping as soon as it dips below what you have it set for, but then it will usually rebound back quite a bit (could be ~.5v or more). Discharging it slowly will allow it to go down all the way (most likely something like 3.0 or 3.1v per cell) and it won't rebound back because of the slow discharge isn't gonna make it dip. Make sense?

I'll warn you, the discharge will take a loooooooooooooooooooooong time.

If your lipo is not up to snuff it may drop voltage enough to trip the lvc. Best to run it hard till it hits the lvc and then charge it. If it does not take close to its rated capacity, then you need a better lipo. No need to discharge it slowly, as that will tell you nothing important.
