My Hyper ST Conversion

Well I've done a brushless buggy conversion which was great but whilst my mate is bashing his Revo over all terrain I noticed the low lying buggy had it's limits. I decided to take the electrics out and go for truggy. I went for 5s in the buggy which is properly over the top anyway for a rallycross.

I atually planned to convert a truggy last year and even bought an MBX5T Prospec and an RC Product Design battery tray. After waiting months for the MMM I got fed up and when someone offered me nearly what I paid for the Mugen I took the money and ran.

So at last 9 months on I finally am back to a truggy. Have gone for the Hyper ST RTR as I can get over £100 back for the engine etc and if necessary add some pro upgrades later on.

Thank goodness I kept the RC product Design battery as it fits a treat after a couple of extra holes in the chassis.

Set up is Medusa 2000kv 80mm motor (70mm out of stock), MMM, stock spur (does the plastic Kyosho one fit??), got lots of pinions from 10-16 so will find a happy medium for bashing and racing if I choose to. Battery is 5s 6000mah Enerland which should give me decent run time.

Just fitted battery tray and modded servo tray to take just steering servo. Next job strip diffs down and fill with F 7k - C 20k - R 5k as a starting point. Any recommendations on different thickness oils would be gratefully received.

Just waiting for motor and mount from Mike and I'll be ready to rock.

Will try to post pics soon although last time I tried I failed miserably.

Over and out for now
