1512 2050kv on 5s?
 

Is anybody running a Neu 1512 2050kv motor on 5s in their buggy? If so, does it work ok? I typically don't like my systems to go over 35k rpms so I'm not sure if this would be comfortable for me - any input would help. Thanks.

Used it last weekend on 5s in a Losi buggy geared 14/48 with truggy diff ring and pinions (43/10) was great, 20 minutes on a 4350 5s pack. Good temps and would outrun the nitro's. With that gearing it had alot of punch though.

I agree with you on the rpm's, I just put the 1512 in my XRAY to run 4s, and a Medusa 1600kv in my Losi for 5s with the stock buggy gearing (14/48, 40/13).

Nice - thanks for the info. I have a Medusa 2000kv that I think I'll try until my Tekin RX8 comes in. Even if the 2000kv works I think I'll feel better about something lower. I plan on getting the 1700kv RX8 system - I think that will be sweet on 5s :party:
