HPI86136 Drive gear ?

I have scrapped two stock aluminum drive gear 86097 in my savage flux and i want put optional 86136 made with 7075, i want know if possible with stock metal gear or i do put the aluminum gear set ?

I'm trialling that part in my Flux now and it seems to wear out quicker!

Doesn't feel any faster either!!!
