My project: 1/8 brushless drifter
 
This is how my drifter 1/8 drift on wet track...on dry track speed is much higher...
As soon as rain will stop for more than 2 hours I'll make a movie on dry...

Give some specs... what chassis, motor, esc, batterys etc. are you running?

Ok...Let's start saying that this package have been developed to be really budget friendly so what you see here is just an entry level compared to your electronics...
Chassis is a gmstyle drift spec, no central diff, locked rear and slowed front diff, electronics: I've been using anything from 60amp ez esc, 75 amp novatech esc with keda motor or ez 80amp up to ez 150amp with medusa and 6s....just decide at what speed you want to drift...with these tires you can drift with really any setup.
in the movie it is 75amp novatech, 2700 kv keda and 3s 3200mah lipo, as there is not much grip run time is about 10 minutes.
I have 2 compound for the drift tires, soft for higher power and harder for less power.
I'm moving to drift because it is really fun and as you can see from the electronics set up it is even really budget friendly.
Bodyshell is a fiat 500 abarth :mdr:

why a ''fix it again tony''? :lol: A drifter is normaly a more performance orientated car. I don't believe an old abarth could do it.

A lower, longer wheelbase car would drift better, and with a longer wheelbase be more predictable. You could hold it sideways longer under power.

That is, if budget would allow stretching it out.

You right probably, but I think results are already quite high to have some fun, by the way I'm not to expert in drifting yet so a more talented guy will for sure keep it sideways longer even like it is now...
To longer chassis is easy, problem is I wanted to keep it with standard 1/8th dimensions so you can place any bodyshell you like as there are a lot on sale, if I make a longer car, I'll probably be able to use 1 shell no more...so I choosed for the easier and more customable option...This is just to show how a brushless 1/8 is superior to nitro...just change tyres lock diff and you drift easily, it is a really good option even for raining days in underground shopping centers car park...I think nitro would have broken the motor quickly because of overrevving...and are not allowed in underground parking because of the noise...
