killed a zippy?
Anyone has a experience like this? I set my esc to 4s. 3.4v cutoff. But during a race the car came to a dead stop.
I check d esc it's ok, check the batt foundout 1cell in zero volt. Any idea way went wrong?thx |
cut off not engaged?
i can't find another explanation.... |
Did the wires come loose from one of the cells?
|
no but 1 cell is dead three other cell is abt 3.8v but the total volt is 7.5v y? i tried to charge but no batt detected, i used a volt meter no volt detected also. i suspect some wires in the lipo is loose.
anyone managed to get a replacement from hobbycity? |
I think a few people have been successful who had issues- hobbycity do have good aftersales support apprently- well worth contacting them.

This is why zippys are cheap and why you should tape the cells together. When you get a pack back, I would recommend taking the shrink off, taping the cells with packaging tape or something similar, then re-shrinking the pack. It will keep the cells from shifting and the solder joints from coming undone.

I am running 2 3s 5000 and the frist thing i did when i got them was cut the pack opan and resolder all the conections, than re wrap the pack like metallover said. Since than i have never had a problem with the lipos. I look at it like another 15 minutes verses the money i am saying, it is well worth it
