Hyperion eos0610i
I am new to the whole Lipo thing, and I need a question answered.
Will I be able to charge 2 lip packs at the same time with this charger? It states that they can be "networked" to charge up to 16s, but I will go 6s at the most, with 4s being the most probable. My car design calls for 1 battery pack per side due to balance/weight issues, and I don't want a charger that can only charge 1 pack at a time. So is this charger capable of charging 2 2s lipos at a time? And what is a conversion board? Is this what allows the charging of 2 packs? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks for any help. |
You can charge 2 lipos in series on this charger, as long as they are all made of the same cells, and are not more than 6s total when you wire them in series. You will have to make your own adapter to link the main leads and balancer harnesses of the 2 packs. BrianG has some examples of adapter wiring on the speed calc site. Pretty easy to do.

Thanks linc!!
Now you say they must be series lipos, or I can take 2 parallel lipos but need to hook them up to the charger in series? This is whats confusing to me. I see 2s1p has 7.4v but has 6500 mah, while a 2s has 7.4 v and only 3250 mah...or is it reversed?.:neutral: |
This will probably be easier if you tell us what you have. 2s lipo is always 7.4v, no matter if it is 2s1p, or 2s100p. The "s" indicates the number of cells in series, the "p" indicates the number of cells in parallel.

No - best to just sell me that charger - It's so bad I need a second one...
Instead you can have 2 x 5i's/lba10... ;) |

BrianG, I don't have anything so far, just a couple of 8cell nimh that I made about 2 months ago...and a MRC superbrain 969 which I plan to sell or give to my brother so he can use it..
So the charger that I posted in the title is a great charger? And as long as I have both lipo packs wired in series, then it should be able to charge both packs? What do you guys recommend for a MMM 2200kv revo? I think that I want to go 6s, why not it is made for the voltage so what kind of 3s packs should I get? And how come everyone is down on maxamps packs are these not good? |
Sorry but 610's are really difficult to come by now.. the 720 is available...
|
oh...is the 720 just as good?
|
Oh much better it is +110....
7 = 7s vs 6s 20 = 20amps vs 10amps But IIRC still 250w |
OK I got it! Can anyone recommend a power supply for it?
|
go with at least 25 amps power supply, from radio shack. they work great.
